M’Lou Bancroft has an abiding and long-standing interest in the not-for-profit world. She works easily with people, utilizing her 34 years of experience with both organizations and foundations. For the past 13 years, she has been the Executive Director of the Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation, working with trustees to give money to cutting-edge, visual arts education programs around Texas. She has worked in marketing, publicity, public relations and fundraising positions for various performing arts organizations, schools and a hospital. She is also a dedicated volunteer and is responsible for starting a sewing cooperative which brings jobs and income to the people of Santa Cruz Arriba, Honduras.
